AGRIRESEARCH is a youth-led National Non-Governmental Organization (NGO) with its headquarters in Busogo, Musanze district. It carries out agricultural Research and provide extension and advisory services with the vision of making Rwanda’s agricultural industry a less-climate sensitive, environment friendly and leading economic sector. The Organization believes that agriculture transformation and modernization require research and innovation at the central level. We have a diverse mission which reflects on our purpose and intention; To increase youth engagement in agriculture, to diversify crop production, to increase crop productivity, to reduce post- harvest losses, to foster research culture in youth. And Our values include Integrity, Curiosity, Persistence, Consistence and Teamwork, are believed to be the core to achieving the mission and vision.



Agriculture is the main economic activity in Rwanda with around 72% of the working population employed in the sector and accounting for 33% of the national GDP. Despite these numbers, productivity remains very low and the potential represented by the sector is far from being met. 75% of Rwanda’s agricultural production comes from smallholder farmers but majority of them lack information and skills on the best practices and the use agricultural inputs which leads to very low yields, deadly human health conditions and environmental pollution. There have been initiatives to solve some of the above issues but in most cases 3 issues persist: technologies developed but unused or underused, lack of holistic approaches, and lack of projects ownership by farmers, all of which led to achievement of half targets or full abandon. It is in the above context that AGRIRESEARCH is proposing to collaborate with the College of Agriculture and Veterinary Medicine of the University of Rwanda (UR-CAVM) under the support of MCGILL-MCF/TP to scale up SmartInput, a smart farming solution that is leveraging research findings, data and digital technology for farm management decision support for different level of producers, while attracting youth into the agriculture sector”. With its embedded artificial intelligence network of weather, soil, crops and market data, SmartInput was designed to provide farmers in the simplest possible manner with personalized best practices that will help them to optimize farming inputs and activities, maximize harvest, and negotiate good prices.

It is with this background that AGRIRESEARCH wishing to recruit interested and motivated individuals who will carry out the activity related to project activities and support, the desired staffs will be assigned to undertake the field activities of Projects.




She/He will be the liaison person across team members and partners of the project and will be involved in all activities.  She/He will be coordinating  day  to day activities of the project including but not limited to:  staff meetings organization, liaise and communication with external partners for good collaboration,  timely  activity implementation follow up and monitoring efficient resources utilization, liaising with third parties for materials acquisition and activities follow up,  preparing and receiving  projects  invoices,  preparing activities and project  reports ( activity and financial reports) within the established deadlines, drafting presentations and formatting documents.


To qualify for this offer, these will be the key requirements:

1. Bachelor's degree in agriculture related field.

2.Having at least one year of working experience 

3.No more than 30 years old

4.Experience and demonstrated proficiency with MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and openness to learning.

5.Strong verbal and written, listening and communication skills.

6.Languages Skills in English or French, knowledge of all is an advantage

7.Demonstrated attention to detail.

8.Management and analytical skills

9. Be able to start immediately after the recruitment process.
